Easyfield VR™ Visual Field Analyzer & Vision Screener Launched in the U.S.

OCULUS, Inc., the American subsidiary of the German ophthalmic diagnostic device designer and manufacturer OCULUS, is excited to bring the newest vision screener and perimetry solution to the U.S.  market. Building on a legacy of excellence in ocular diagnostic instruments and unparalleled customer support, OCULUS, Inc. is thrilled to unveil this next-generation virtual reality solution for eye care professionals.

OCULUS, Inc. has announced the launch of the OCULUS Easyfield VR™, a virtual reality headset that conducts visual field screenings, visual field threshold exams as well as color vision, contrast sensitivity,  and stereo vision screenings. SMARTTracker™2 Fixation Tracking technology ensures reliable,  reproducible results due to the highly accurate eye tracker monitoring patient fixation.

The Easyfield VR™ streamlines practice flow and improves the patient experience through fast, easy,  and patient-friendly vision testing that staff members can conduct in various settings without requiring a dark room.

Practitioners can conveniently start and monitor the exam process from a Surface Pro tablet, all without requiring an internet connection. The Easyfield VR™ fits seamlessly into existing workflows by sharing a  common database with OCULUS diagnostic devices, which use the same OCULUS Patient Data  Management software. With smooth integration, familiar progression analysis printouts, and exceptional OCULUS training and technical support, clinics can enjoy swift onboarding and implementation to begin benefitting from the solution almost immediately.

The virtual reality headset is lightweight, easily adjustable, and foam-padded to provide maximum patient comfort. The Easyfield VR™ headset design secures around the patient’s head, reducing the potential for patient fatigue and errors while enabling faster testing. With audio-guided examinations  (available in English and Spanish), patients can complete their testing autonomously, reducing demands on technician time and enabling staff to prep for their next patient.

“This device embodies our goals at OCULUS, Inc. – our focus on progress and innovation, and our dedication to helping ECPs preserve vision and improve workflows, delivering only the best to our customers for their practice and their patients,” says Michael Wolber, CEO of OCULUS, Inc. “We look forward to helping clinics streamline their practice flow with the introduction of this latest solution.”

The Easyfield VR™ is now available solely for the U.S. ophthalmic market and will be exhibited at upcoming tradeshows. Visit https://oculususa.com/easyfield-vr to learn more.
