RestoringVision Aims to Return Sight to 20M People by 2020

RestoringVision — an optical nonprofit dedicated to providing new reading glasses and sunglasses to those in need around the world — recently announced a new goal to restore sight to 20 million people by the end of 2020.

Since 2003, RestoringVision has reportedly been working to create access to glasses for those earning less than $2 a day. To date, the organization has reportedly helped over 7 million people, and it plans to help another 13 million over the next four years.

To make its goal a reality, RestoringVision has reportedly been working over the last two years to build a capacity to distribute 5 million glasses per year through strengthening current strategic partnerships and developing new ones. The nonprofit is inviting everyone to join the effort, including charitable organizations, corporations and individuals. Click here for more information on how to become involved
