 Malyugin to Present Binkhorst Lecture at ASCRS/ASOA 2017

Internationally renowned expert Dr. Boris E. Malyugin will be awarded the Binkhorst Medal and will present the esteemed Binkhorst Lecture during the ASCRS Opening General Session of this year's American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) Annual Symposium and Congress in Los Angeles.

Malyugin’s lecture, "Cataract Surgery in Small Pupils: Building the Bridge Over Troubled Waters," will be presented on May 6, 2017, from 10am to 12pm.

Malyugin is a professor of ophthalmology, Deputy Director General (R&D, Edu.) at the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery State Institution (Moscow, Russia). He is also president of the Russian Society of Ophthalmologists and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons Board member, as well as the member of International Intraocular Implant Club and Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis. And Malyugin is a chief medical editor of Ophthalmosurgery Journal (Russia) and Russian Eurotimes.

Since 1975, the Binkhorst Medal has been awarded to the world’s most prominent ophthalmologists whose careers have made significant contributions to the science and practice of ophthalmology.
