Volk Optical recently introduced the Volk®1 SLT Lens to its Single Use Lens family to help eliminate the potential for disease transmission during trabecular procedures.
The new SLT lens reportedly provides imaging similar to that of Volk's traditional reusable SLT lens in a sterile, molded acrylic body. Designed for Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty, the product features a curved upper lens surface to ensure the laser beam profile remains circular for consistent laser spot placement. The lens has a single internally reflecting surface delivering 1.0x magnification, maintaining laser spot size and power density. And its silicone contact flange provides patient comfort and stability for laser delivery.
