 Katena Acquires Eagle Vision

Precision ophthalmic instruments, biologics and devices provider Katena Products recently announced it has acquired punctal plug manufacturer Eagle Vision.

Eagle Vision was reportedly founded over 30 years ago by Dr. Jerre Freeman, and its punctal plug products and other ancillary devices are primarily used in the treatment of dry eye syndrome by both ophthalmologists and optometrists in the U.S. and globally.

According to Katena, the acquisition of Eagle Vision's product line is its second important addition to its product portfolio in 2016. Katena acquired Sensor Medical Technology in January of this year, and acquired IOP Ophthalmics back in 2014.
