Topcon Awarded FDA Clearance for 3D OCT-1 Maestro System

Topcon Medical Systems recently announced it had been awarded clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its 3D OCT-1 Maestro™ system.

The 3D OCT-1 Maestro reportedly combines a high resolution color non-mydriatic retinal camera with the latest Spectral Domain OCT technology. PinPoint™ Registration helps to properly indicate the location of the OCT image within the fundus image, while the 12 mm x 9 mm scan along with automated segmentation provides measurement and topographical maps of the optic nerve and macula with reference database in one scan. The machine also features a rotating touch panel, fully automated operation, and a compare function.
