Earlier this month, Leica Microsystems launched its IOLcompass Pro — a software-based guidance system for pre-operative planning and intra-operative positioning of premium intraocular lenses (IOLs).
Launched in partnership with TruVision Systems Inc., the IOLcompass Pro helps ophthalmic surgeons achieve minimal residual astigmatism for their patients as it provides stable and accurate guidance throughout the cataract surgery process. It is installed on Leica's Proveo 8 ophthalmology microscope and has full data connectivity with some of the leading topographers on the market today.
