Orbis Recognized as Champion for Vision

Orbis — best known for its Flying Eye Hospital — was recently named Champion for Vision at the annual American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) meeting in Vancouver, Canada.

The award was presented jointly by the Children’s Eye Foundation and AAPOS to celebrate extraordinary efforts in championing children’s vision.

Since 1986, Orbis has been working in collaboration with hospitals, universities, government agencies and ministries of health with a mission of transforming lives through access to quality eye health. The organization offers hands-on ophthalmology training, helps to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, and advocates for supportive policies.
