Reichert Technologies Introduces Phoroptor VRx Digital Refraction System at Vision Expo East

Reichert Technologies

Reichert Technologies® announces the commercial introduction of the highly anticipated Phoroptor® VRx Digital Refraction System, the most advanced Phoroptor® ever built. Previewed at the International Vision Expo West and the American Academy of Ophthalmology in fall 2014, Phoroptor® VRx further extends the Reichert® legacy of design and engineering excellence by combining speed and technology to deliver an incredibly fast refraction experience. The system’s logically and ergonomically arranged keypad and multi-functional knob, coupled with an intuitive user interface and tilting touchscreen provide operators with the tools needed to drive improved practice efficiency.

Phoroptor VRx was designed, engineered and built from the ground up with input from eye care professionals. It boasts premium motors for extremely fast and ultra-quiet lens exchanges, as well as new features like motorized prism compensators and a split cylinder lens to facilitate faster testing for astigmatic correction. These enhancements and improvements translate into a more efficient exam process. The fit and finish of the metal housing is what you expect from a product built in the USA.

The all-new Phoroptor VRx controller, with its bright, full-color, 10.4-inch tilting touchscreen and intuitive user interface, provide the operators with the flexibility to easily access any tests during the exam process. With effortless integration to both EMR and pre-test equipment, Phoroptor VRx helps to deliver quite possibly the shortest refraction on the market.

“The Reichert name is synonymous with quality and excellence. It has been the leader in refraction technology since the invention of the Phoroptor, I expect nothing less for the Phoroptor VRx Digital Refraction System”, said Joel Kozlowski, Senior Product Manager of Lane and Refraction equipment for Reichert.
