Riester ri-screen- a Digital, Medical Camera that Offers Imaging and Video

Riester ri-screen is a digital, wireless medical camera system with multiple functions for ophthalmology, otoscopy and dermatology.

Riester ri-screen offers an image and video function. Digital images and video allows accurate diagnosis and the ability to consistently monitor follow-up treatments. The unit is easily adopted into daily examination routines and connects to any patient database system, via mini USB or AV output, allowing image data sharing and record keeping. It offers full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080, with a 3.5” full HD colour TFT-LCD display.

The handset uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery and offers 3 hours of continuous operation. An 8 GB micro SD card provides storage.

General Imaging

The general imaging lens of the Riester ri-screen camera system is provided to capture high resolution digital image data of easily accessible areas of the body such as the oral cavity.

Retinal Ophthalmic Imaging

With the attachable ophthalmoscopic lens, Riester ri-screen enables non-mydriatic eye fundus examination with a wide 25° and 40° field of view respectively. The lens offers reflection-free imaging for screening and documenting anomalies and infrared or white LEDS provide a light source to capture images of the eye. The unit has a diopter compensation of -20D to +20D.

Otoscopy

Visible white LEDs on the otoscopic lens accurately capture the colour, position and translucency of the tympanic membrane. The unit allows the simultaneous real-time viewing of both ear canals on a computer, facilitating diagnosis and treatment. The lens has a focus range of 5-50mm.

Dermatoscopy

ri-screen’s dermatoscopic lens offers an easy-to-use tool for examining the entire skin surface and making measurements of skin lesions such as moles. Any changes can be detected and documented with high-resolution images during each follow up. Without the dermatoscopic lens, the device can be used with the general imaging module to document larger skin areas such as burn injuries or eczema.

White and infrared LEDs allow the accurate identification of skin lesions. The unit provides a field of view of 10mm ø and no immersion is necessary.
